i miss Ash.
If i could pick a guitar, i would sing this the whole life through. to Jack, to friends i adore, to persons i miss before i turn off the lights.
But i'd love it if someone would sing this for me, for a turn.
Friends who have forgotten me, it's okay. Happy Eid. Happy when you are.
TO ALL MUSLIM FRIENDS AND VOXERS AROUND THE WORLD,
HAVE A GREAT EIDUL FITRI
don't worry so much about being embarrassed to work with any government agencies, or links, or the likes of it.
only those without confidence, may feel like it, frankly, i do not see any difference between these two, not when you posses none of the correct attitudes, to even deserve being offered a place in both?
gossips, backstabbing..come on, who are you kidding? don't have the guts to admit, it's all in the attitude, people even gossip in the privates, heck who knows, even cows gossip. Backstabbing, ho ho ho..we're not exactly angels here, private or government, when there is Satan, there will be these evil office politicking. even so, casualties are low, don't play it if you're born a loser.
i've seen friends who work with the government who go home, as late as those who work with the private.seasonal la..who wants to be workaholic so much, correct? we have families to think about back at home. even the pay is lower, sometimes, to the point of tidak masuk akal? those who got admitted for nervous breakdowns. their output are of quality, so far. they lead. they set example. they got bullied too.
nowadays, people tend to jump to the government sector with this weird thought of having an easier life. Insya Allah, the benefits are okay, but there is this word of sacrifice, and not to complain so much. you have to pledge to serve agama, bangsa, negara, well, frankly, if the pay is a bit higher ha ha ha i wouldnt mind repeating the mantra, but sometimes, pahala juga.begitulah nak tenangkan fikiran.
you won't get rich when you're working with the government. PTD, maybe, but their life is hell too, sometimes, but N scheme?..Good luck, though.
multi-tasking, why not? to the extent of losing your mind, and getting all your chore JD getting flushed down the drain? then you're a bad planner, and you're up to no challenge. it's okay to raise a white flag, if justified. people trust you, hence the extra luggage. if you think you're being bullied, then please voice your concern.
all this..for not much of pay, but it's okay though. it's either you take it, or break it.
look man, we're human too.
there is always the private, if you're too embarrassed to be among the government servants. we're tired of show offs too.
because we've been there, and done that.
and we're not scared at all.
CAMBODIA. Kompong Tralach. 24/08/2002: Cham (Muslim) community along the Tonle Sap river.
I happened to watch TV3 Majalah 3. They visited a Muslim community, which resides along Ton Le Sap, Siem Reap. It's heart wrenching to discover that some of my Muslim brothers in that area are not getting as much as mine in Malaysia. Education, permanent jobs, etc..
So we're looking forward to visiting this village, with the Ustaz, as Mayrie had informed me earlier, being recommended by a blogger to us, to be our guide. We badly want to visit this village, and maybe gave a few books or Muqaddam or what nots to the madrasah. They taught English to the kids in the village in there.
In Greenhills, Manila too, we've sort of lost our way and amazingly, bumped into a sub urban MUslim community area, seriously i cannot remener the place. But it's filthy. Seriously filthy. The roads, the hops, the building. The MUslims community in the area run their lives doing business. I bought a shawl there. We managed to be greeted by the caretaker of teh Golden Mosque tehre too, which was a pretty funny incident. We were not properly attired to enter the mosque area, so piltely turned down his offer to be shown around inside the area.So we took a while to observe how the MUslims in the area live their routine life. But in Kobe, most of the muslims were Pakistanis, and the likes of them. They've a nice mosque, and i guess Muslim students studying in Jalan finds this a great comfort. But remember, Kobe is a modern town.
When i was a teenager, dad tugged me along with his HIstorical Society trips to Yala, and up to Phuket, along the way , locating Muslim communities, it was really, enlightening. Abah said, dermalah apa apa muqaddam atau quran atau bahan bacaan pada mereka, kasihan..Hidup mereka tak semewah kita. Peluang mereka tiada, kurang, dan kadang kala, politik menyekat kebeasan mereka.
My only regret was not being able to stop and visit the mosque in Koh Samui.
I'm looking forrwad to this trip to Sim Reap and PHnom Penh in December. Insya Allah if tak ada aral melintang.
Dah lama tak main organ atau pun piano. Semua itu tertinggal di Jitra, with lots of weird and meaningful memories. It's not right, but it's okay.
Currently i'm figuring a few chords in my mind. The Fray's, I'll Look after You. It's pretty easy to imagine the chords.
I miss my Electone. Seriously.
This is nowhere inside the Delhi Gate, Lahore. Ironically.
It's Meera Sahib's, Little India. Penang again. For the ultimate original spices, head here for custom tailored spices and curry spices for your favourite dishes.
I got 500g of beef curry, 100g of garam masala, and a whopping 1 kg or kurma spice, all for an amazing RM26.70.
Spice that out, dude..
Dessert. Appertiser. Entree.
This uniquely special rojak buah, juicy slices of pink guava, sour mango, sweet pineapple, minty buah pala (bukan dari kampung buah pala okay), squids, dried squid, nuts..lots of nuts.
A simple cocktail of fruits, blended together with the best rojak sauce, i seriously believed that aliens had droppd by Penang aeons ago and left one lucky bitch the recipe of a perfect sauce.
Where else, Pada Kota laaa...Penang..
*this dish is rm5 (medium)
Take a close look at the ulat mulung-like creatures nested inside these shells.
These are siput pahat, and they tasted like heaven when stir-fried with dried chilli and oyster sauce, Chinese-style.
The flesh is tender, juicy, plum, and oh-s0-nice my God bless the soul who innovated this recipe into perfection.
This dish usually complement our Aunty Char Koay Teow and Rojak Buah at Padang Kota. Large size dish is RM10.
We never went for the small dish.
