Sali was our faithful tuk-tuk driver during the whole trip in Siem Reap.

He speaks perfect Malay, and is a good Muslim.

"Saya Cambodia Cham..Melayu Champa..Mereka kata Cham saja cukup..Sini ada, Cambodia KHmer, Cambodia Viatnamese, Cmboadia Cham..CAmbodia Chinese..India tak ada macam di Malaysia.."he explained while he polished the tuk-tuk's handle..

Hm..,my mind went to the awful slogan on their 'official' t-shirt, same-same but different..

"Masa lepas Khmer Rouge pegi..US, Semua datang nak ambik kami..Tapi tok saya kata, tunggu Malaysia, tunggu Malaysia datang ambil.."

"Tapi Malaysia datang ambil lambat sangat, Thailand hantar tok saya balik.."

"Sini..kalau kaya..kaya sungguh..makan tak habis..kira duit tak habis..tapi yang miskin..miskin lah.."

Angkor after 5 pm..FREE!

Alright. We didnt pay the 20USD to get inside cos we're so kopak man..

So Sali, the Tuk-tuk Cambodia Cham suggested we get in free. Salii, the man!! Save our souls. But only after 5 pm.

So can you imagine how dark it was inside the temples after 5.30 pm? Almost creepy, and i lost all appetite for knowledge.

Here's to Angkor.

Phnom Penh Fiasco

I'm having a cramp from my monthly ágenda', sat in the bus for 6 hours..from siem reap to phnom penh..and my back is hurting like it's gonna crack open.

But hey..i'm in Phnom Penh..Let's see what they have here for me!

There are many lazy kids around the world, born with silver spoon in the mouths, but there are more poor children, born with nothing but strong will, and a fiery thrive for survival.

There is nothing exceptional in children except for these two qualities, especially when living in poverty, when a single ray of hope sometimes begin to sound like a rude joke.

But sometimes, God has plans for every single soul. In Chong Khneas, a floating village at the edge of the Ton Le Saplake, closest to Siem Reap,a floating school, which survives on donations, was built for the children, some are cambodian-Vietnamese, and is still spinning the fates of the children here in education.

It's Christmas Eve in Siem Reap.

Particularly in Pub Street, Old Market. Excitement was riding the air in full velocity, and travellers around the world united here, to celebrate the eve with strangers.

But the victims from the past's presence spreaded humility amongst the merry makers in the street. They are not okay, are they? Or would the eyes lie?

To me, they are beautiful people.

In Sacre Coeur, i bumped into a bunch of beautiful children munching their lunches of mouth watering sandwiches by the dried fountain, exchanging gossips.

They breathed happiness into my heart.

Today, my staff's dad passed away, suddenly.

Imagine her shock, and mine, and ours. It's like a bad dream happening all over again.

So we rushed to Tambun. Me and the whole Unit. I had to bring along the whole unit, because i want them to appreciate teamwork, be it in sadness, or good times. Some representatives from the other units went with us.

It was too hard to picture her emotions. But i think i knew. The difference is, she lost her father, the pain is worse, i guess.
